FREQUENTLY ASKED

- QUESTIONS -

Does Nook require a building consent?

Nook doesn't require a building consent as it is a mobile unit that can be towed, and moved at short notice. It is therefore classed as a caravan, and does not require a building consent.

What power and water connections come standard with Nook?

Nook comes with mains power and mains water connections as standard.

Can Nook be customised for an off-grid option?

Absolutely – Nook is a fully customisable tiny house that can be fitted with solar and gas options. You can also add a bambooloo off-grid toilet and grey-water system. The possibilities are endless!

Can Nook be towed by anyone?

Yes, Nook is legally towable by anyone. However we would recommend that Nook is towed by someone with good towing experience, using a suitable vehicle. We can also arrange delivery of your Nook for you, to save any worry or problems.

Can Nook's internal layout be customised?

It sure can. In fact, we can design the internal layout to suit whatever you require: Add a fold-out bed, mezzanine floor, full kitchen, storage... anything you want to. We'll work with you to create the Nook of your dreams.

How is Nook heated?

Due to the high-rated Pink Batts installed in Nook, heating is very simple and cost effective. You can add a Cocoon biofuel fire, or any other heating source that you want to. Nook has large double-glazed windows to make the most of the sun's energy to naturally heat the space. Cosy!

Can I use Nook as an office or commercial space?

Nook is flexible for any type of space. You can purchase Nook as an empty 'room', and fit it out as you need to for a perfect small office, or cosy little studio. We can help you design the perfect workspace to fit your requirements.

How much is Nook, and how long does it take to build?

The standard Nook model cost depends on your requirements. Customised models are also priced individually depending on your requirements. Generally, a Nook can be ready to tow away in 8 –10weeks.
